Encryption and Security
Fundraise Genius takes information security very seriously. We have implemented a variety of security measures in our system architecture to protect our users’ information. All supplied credit card information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and then encrypted into our payment processing gateway providers’ database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to those systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. If a transaction takes place, your private information will not be stored on our servers.
3rd Party Services
Occasionally we may elect to include or offer 3rd party products, services, or advertising on our website. These 3rd parties have independent privacy policies, and Fundraise Genius is not responsible or liable for the content or activities of these sites.
Our Website may contain “web beacons” (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags and clear GIFs). These web beacons allow third parties to obtain information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the beacon appears, the time the page containing the beacon was viewed, the type of browser used to view the page, and the information in cookies set by the third party. Web beacons also may be used to track whether you have opened an HTML email. When the email is opened, a part of the code that makes up the HTML page calls a web server to load the web beacon that then generates a record showing that the email has been viewed. Web beacons may also recognize when the email was opened, how many times it was forwarded and which URLs (links within the email) were clicked.
When you visit and interact with the Services, Fundraise Genius and third parties with whom we have contracted to provide services for us may collect Internet Protocol addresses (each an “IP Address”), as well as browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and page navigation. An IP Address is a unique identifier number that certain electronic devices use to identify and to communicate with each other on the Internet; your Internet Service Provider automatically assigns an IP Address to the computer that you are using. We gather this information to track website visitor movement in the aggregate, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Our goal in gathering this information is to learn how our customers and the public are using our service. We may use this information to enhance our Website or for other lawful purposes.
Real Time Location Information
Fundraise Genius does not collect precise real-time location information of your mobile device.
Concerning the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act – we are in compliance with COPPA as we do not collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. Our site, products and services are all targeted to an audience ages 13 and older.
Your privacy is important to us, and we have put in place security systems designed to prevent unauthorized disclosure and use of your private information. We have asked for similar assurances from our third-party providers. The security systems in place are structured to deter and prevent hackers and others from accessing your information. Due to the nature of Internet communications and evolving technologies, however, we cannot provide, and disclaim, assurance that such information and communications will remain free from loss, misuse, or alteration by human error or third-parties who, despite our security measures efforts, may obtain unauthorized access.
